Be part of this day in history – Be one of 10,000
On the eve of one of the most significant presidential inaugurations in history, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy of service and equality for all American people. On this day, 10,000 Minnesotans will come together to join the fight to end hunger in our community, and dozens of folks are sharing their experiences on our blog at www.10000strong.org. When Michelle Obama declared hunger relief as one of the causes she would support as first lady, we realized we had a unique opportunity to honor the Obama family, Dr. King – and spread awareness about hunger in our community.
The 10,000 Strong initiative has been a tremendous success so far, but we still need your help. Please visit www.10000strong.org today. Watch the inspiring video with Dr. King, our new president, and the faces of hunger in our community. Head over to the blog and join the dialogue. See what other people are saying by comments and by video, and share your experience with us. Tell us how you’re turning your day off into a day on – and help us put an end to hunger in the heartland, one click at a time.
