Chanhassen Dinner Theatres and its audiences and employees generously contributed and exceeded the goal to raise $20,000 at this year’s Feast or Famine Food Drive. Through their hard work and dedication to the mission, they raised $24,225.85 to donate to Second Harvest Heartland, to provide food for those in need in our community.

With hungry Minnesotans missing 125 million meals every year, we need the collaboration of community partners like Chanhassen Dinner Theaters to begin to fill this gap.

At 10:30 on Saturday morning, you could be playing paintball with Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe and other players! For $30, you get paintball marker rental, mask rental, free air refills, lunch, and five raffle tickets. At the end of the day, you can use your raffle tickets to win Vikings and 93X merchandise or paintball gear.

Registration proceeds from the event will be matched by Chris Kluwe of the Minnesota Vikings and donated to Second Harvest Heartland. Paintball ammo proceeds will be donated by MN Pro Paintball to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

As you may or may not have heard, Eide Bailly LLP and Mackall Crounse and Moore, PLC challenged other local accounting and law firms to help end hunger in our community – in a campaign called “Food Mania.” Seventeen firms stepped up to join the fight – and the results were phenomenal. On behalf of Second Harvest Heartland, I want to extend a very special “thanks” to Eide Bailly LLP and Mackall Crounse and Moore, PLC and all participating firms for the tremendous success of the first annual Food Mania challenge.

Over a two week period, the firms raised $45,693 and 4,458 pounds of food. These donations will help Second Harvest Heartland feed those in our community who are hungry.

So again – thank you to all participating firms for joining the fight to end hunger. We are so much more than grateful for your support.
