Built around the incredible success of The Biggest Loser, the program allows anyone to shed pounds along with the show’s contestants by pledging your weight-loss goals!

For every pound pledged, the Pound For Pound Challenge will donate 13 cents to Feeding America (up to a maximum donation of $1,040,000). Feeding America will then distribute the money to the local food banks chosen by you when you register. Last year, Second Harvest Heartland had the most pledges, and received more than $30,000 donations in total!

The more people that take the Challenge in our area, the more money we make locally to serve those in need! The entire
program leads to healthier communities, and a healthier nation.

Tune in to tonight’s season finale of The Biggest Loser to view the Challenge kickoff announcement, then log on after the show to pledge your pounds!

Because it’s the kickoff of the second annual Pound for Pound Challenge, of course! This exciting fundraising program was formed by a partnership of NBC’s The Biggest Loser, General Mills and Feeding America to encourage Americans to “Lose Nationally, Feed Locally.”

Sign up and pledge your weight loss goals at www.pfpchallenge.com. For every pound you pledge, the Pound for Pound Challenge will donate 14 cents to Feeding America – enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a local food bank. The more signups and pledges in our area, the more donations will come to Second Harvest Heartland to help feed those in need right here in our community.
